Shaunta S. Wright, MPH, is the Project Manager for the Georgia Center for Oncology Research and Education. Ms. Wright is a highly-motivated manager of program development and information technology.
Ms. Wright has significant experience researching the geography of cancer clinical trials, tobacco control policies and minority health issues. Ms. Wright has worked in the healthcare field over twelve years with public health being her primary focus over the past five years.
Prior to joining Georgia CORE, Ms. Wright was a Lead Pharmacy Technician in the main outpatient pharmacy at Grady Health System and graduate research assistant for the Georgia Tobacco Policy Project (G-TOPP) at Georgia State University’s Institute of Public Health.
Ms. Wright has a Master’s Degree in Public Health, Certificate in Non-profit Management and Bachelor’s Degree in Biology from Georgia State University. She is a member of the American Public Health Association and Georgia Public Health Association.
In 2007, Ms. Wright was featured as an “Alumni Spotlight” in the Georgia State University Alumni Magazine. A member of the National Scholars Honour Society, Ms. Wright has published cancer disparities data and geographic distribution of cancer and oncologists in The Georgia CORE Directory. In 2009, Ms. Wright was accepted into the Georgia Center for Nonprofits’ Class of 2009 High Potential Diverse Leaders Program.
Ms. Wright, an Arkansas native, resides in Fairburn, GA. She is married to Khary Wright and is an active member of the Parks at Cedar Grove Home Owner’s Association where she serves as Neighborhood Watch Block Captain.
