The Georgia Lung Cancer Working Group held a meeting on July 28, 2008. The purpose of the Lung Cancer Working Group is offer easy access to state-of-the-art comprehensive care, using education, prevention, and cutting edge clinical research to expand the treatment options for all lung cancer patients.Over 30 participants engaged in discussion regarding strategic methods to expand lung cancer clinical trials across Georgia. The Lung Cancer Working Group consists of a multidisciplinary group, including academia and community practices, thoracic surgery, radiation oncology, biostatisticians, and epidemiologists. The meeting consisted of presentations from Brian Leyland-Jones, MD, PhD, Suresh Ramalingam, MD, Rodolfo Bordoni, MD, Walter Curran, MD, FACR, Suephy Chen, MD and Fadlo Khuri, MD .
