On June 28, 2007, the Georgia Lung Cancer Working Group held the first of three meetings during 2007, sponsored by Sanofi-Aventis. The purpose of the Lung Cancer Working Group is offer easy access to state-of-the-art comprehensive care, using education, prevention, and cutting edge clinical research to expand the treatment options for all lung cancer patients.The Lung Cancer Working Group consists of a multidisciplinary group, including academia and community practices, thoracic surgery, radiation oncology, biostatisticians, and epidemiologists.Over 30 participants, including 22 physicians, engaged in discussion regarding strategic methods to expand lung cancer clinical trials across Georgia.
