Georgia CORE is a member of the national Cooperative Group, Gynecologic Oncology Group (GOG). The Georgia CORE-GOG Consortium is a great opportunity for Georgia CORE and gynecologic oncology clinicians and researchers across the state. This endeavor gives Georgia CORE an opportunity to demonstrate the feasibility of implementing an inclusive, high-quality statewide membership within a national Cooperative Group. This is consistent with Georgia CORE’s mission to improve the quality of cancer care by strengthening clinical research.
Four organizations completed the required site applications and clinical trial infrastructure evaluation visits for inclusion in the initial Georgia CORE-GOG Consortium application: Memorial Health University Medical Center, Curtis and Elizabeth Anderson Cancer Institute in Savannah; Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta; The Medical Center, John B. Amos Cancer Center in Columbus; and Grady Health System, Cancer Center for Excellence in Atlanta.
